Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a ticket? And what is this event actually?

When we first started imagining a gathering in New Orleans for March 2026, we thought it might be our New Orleans wedding. This is exactly what we told many of you. Then we realized something simple. We are already married, and if we are going to pour time and energy into building an event, it should feel true to who we are.

What feels true is this: We have always been drawn to making things with our friends. We started a gallery in our living room in 2024. We hosted dinners, salons, and performances. That collaborative spirit became part of our life here. So instead of planning a wedding, we leaned into the spirit of creative community. Becoming Together grew out of that momentum.

This is a festival of creativity and connection in the city we call home. It includes shared meals, art, performance, music, and a lot of moments that will only exist because you are part of it. The ticket helps us shape the weekend with intention. It keeps the group intimate, ensures everyone attending is choosing to participate with care, and supports the creation of an experience that feels thoughtful from start to finish.

What should I pack?

Bring what makes you feel comfortable, expressive, and ready for a weekend that blends celebration with creativity. New Orleans weather can shift, so pack layers and shoes you can walk in. Think elevated casual with room to move.

You will also want four outfits you can adapt for our themed programs:

Will there be themes or costumes?

Yes! Each program has its own theme. Costumes are part of New Orleans culture. They are craft, tradition, and transformation. For Becoming Together, we invite you to join in that spirit.

There is no need to buy anything, and most people will remix what they already own. Swap with friends. Alter something simple. Add one bold piece and call it done. We have also partnered with local shops for rentals if you want to support New Orleans makers.

Can I bring a plus one?

The invite list is intentional and curated, and we want to preserve the intimacy of the group. The weekend works best when everyone present is either a friend or connected to the circle. If there is a person in your life who feels aligned with this community, reach out and we can talk, but please do not add a guest on your own.

Will transportation be provided between events?

Unfortunately, no. This would not make sense for our events because New Orleans moves at its own rhythm and guests will be coming from different locations. We are keeping transportation flexible. We recommend Uber or Lyft for quick point to point trips. The city also has a public bike share called Blue Bikes with stations all over. And if you are up for it, walking is our favorite way to see the city. New Orleans also has historic streetcars. They are inexpensive, slow in the best way, and very much part of the experience. Think of the streetcar less as efficient transport and more as a rolling front porch. It is a beautiful and authentic way to move through the city. Fares and routes are available via the Le Pass app.

Do I need to attend everything?

No. We would love for you to join as much as you can because we are putting a lot of care into every program, but you should follow your own flow. If you want to explore the city during certain moments, you are welcome to. The weekend also includes unprogrammed time for rest and exploration. We will share recommendations for things to do in town outside of our programming.

Where should I plan to stay?

In partnership with our friends at local hospitality group Dear Valentine, we have reserved Luna and Lyra, two neighboring Italianate homes nestled beneath the Live Oaks of Prytania Street in the Lower Garden District.

Luna and Lyra blend historic craftsmanship with soulful, layered interiors. Their grand parlors, art-filled rooms, and heated plunge pools create a sanctuary for connection and ease.

When should I plan to fly in/out?

We suggest arriving Friday morning or afternoon (March 20th) and departing Monday morning (March 23rd).
